Do I really need Mid-Bass?

I will agree and disagree, installation can make a turd very acceptable. BUT in my opinion the mid-bass region (which covers the human voice) is one where buying the driver that sounds very good will actually do wonders in stock locations, it wont solve world hunger, or necessisarily a tight center image but it should do better than the 35 dollar devices put in at the factory. Now put in a great sounding driver and install it well, then you are getting somewhere.

I agree the sound board should optimize the drivers sound in the store (but they always do a half *** job setting up the chambers and the electrical system) the sound board can be deceiving but more often the drivers sound better in the car.

A sleeper brand is Cliff Designs, their new comp sets mid-bass is quite good
