Door speakers

Hey I was thinking about picking up 2 sets of infinity kappa 52.7 door speakers. I was told from my local store these could easily put vocal over my 2 10" alpine type R subs. They would only be hooked up to my deck which is a kenwood exceleron I think lol. But I was wondering if I could get some input on these speakers cuz my Bose system in my 2000 maxima gets drowned out hard by my subs.

Thanks for the help.

Throw an amp on them, that would help a ton. And if you have an aftermarket deck, you should have some control over the sub so that you can play around with how much "drownage" you want at any given time. So, not to worry. Even if your subs were more than what you've got upfront, you can turn the sub down just a notch with the right deck.

Yea my deck has sub contro. And I would like to put an amp on them but i don't have the money! I read that my deck can do 50w X4. So think these will be good enough to match to my alpines?

4x50 watts peak. with 10% distortion... only abou 15 watts rms with 1% distorion.... so a real power amp will do much much better.

Thumbs up

The amp in the Excelons are good for 4 X 20w or so before they start to get stressed...you don't say how much power you have running the subs but no deck is going to keep up with a pair of 10s with decent power.

The Infinity's might get louder than the Bose speakers but at some point you will need to buy an amp for them.

HTH

I was thinking you had more and u could back off a little but u dont seem to be over doing it at all. ... anyways ,You will get, i wouldnt say " louder " i would say more "pronounced" mids and highs that you will hear clearer over the sub frequencies.
