Dual Screens with Termlab

He guys, does anyone here use a laptop for running events? If so how do you get the laptop to output to 2 monitors, 1 for each lane? I mean beyond the promoter package of course.

Well unless your laptop is a Sony VIAO it should be able to run its internal screen and an external monitor. Now you can add a 2nd monitor with a splitter (which has an internal signal booster) or a Y video cable and run the risk of too weak a signal.

I like to run my smaller shows with a laptop rather than a desktop just due to the ease of transport and usage. Fair warning the Termlab program DOES NOT like it if your computer centrino goes into a power-save shutdown (crash and F'in burn the Termlab episode and you may get the privilege of re entering the Termlab password).

So what you are saying is to run the same picture to 2 different monitors? Is it possible to have each monitor display only that mics score though? If you just split th output, both scores would be on both monitors......which is no big deal I guess.

I dont do dual lanes (I am not dbdrag) and I dont 'think' you can run independent images off a single computer... I could be wrong

for 60 or 70 some odd dollars tigerdirect.ca has a box that plugs into the usb abd lets you have a vga, s-video or rca output. its in the cables and adapters catagory.
