Dual vs Single Voice Coils??

Hey guys...Could someone explain the difference, purpose and or benefits from one or the other??

Thanks,
Jeff

2 voice coils gives you some wiring options. Example, a DVC 2ohm driver can be 4 or 1 ohm.

Cool, thanks...Now on to the next question...Can someone (in brief) explain the concept of oms??

ohms is a measurement of electrical resistance. The greater the resistance the higher the ohms. Resistance is equal to Voltage/Current according to ohms law (V=I*R). Check out this site for more info. When wiring resistors in series we simply add their value. When resistors are wired in parrallel we take the inverse of each resistor, add them, and the take the inverse of the total.

For Example 3 resistors in parallel:

Rtotal = (1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/ R3)^-1

Or 3 resistors in series:

Rtotal = R1 + R2 + R3
