Yay, one I can handle!

Depends on the sound package installed. Most of them should be a 5 1/4 inch midrange in the kicks, a 1 1/2" (odd size, huh?) mid in the doors, and a 1/2" tweet in the doors (three way). Rears are most likely a 5 1/4" mid/ 1/2" tweeter two-way.

Now, if you have the Harmon-Kardon (sp?) system, the door speakers (mid and tweet) are the actual size of the grilles (3" and 1", if I remember right). The other speakers are the same sizes.

Grille size is the same no matter what system is in the car. Let me know if you need links for mounting plates in the rear and such. FYI, there isn't currently a speaker available to replace the door mid and fit in the factory cutout.

Heh, ok I guess.

- 1" Tweeter about 6" from the top of each of the door panels, in both the doors (2 speakers total)
- 3" Midrange about 10" from the top of each door panel, in both doors (2 more speakers)
- 5 1/4" midrange driver in both the passenger side and driver's side kick panels (2 more speakers, or 6 total to this point)
- in the rear deck, there are two pods, each with a 1" tweeter and a 5 1/4" midrange (so 4 speakers, for a total of 10)

How's that?

Edit: This is of course assuming that it is an M3 COUPE, not the sedan.
Edit to the edit: Sedan has exactly the same setup as the coupe, according to BMW's parts catalogue.
