DVC woofers - what happens if...

DVC woofers - what happens if...

1) you only hook up one VC?
2) you feed eachvc a different signal (ie lt chan to one rt chan to the other)?

Would anything bad happen?????

Thanks, that answers all my questions (and more).

To sum it up, yes you can run one coild, both coils, same signal, different signal, it wont hurt your woofer.

Just keep in mind that only running one coil drastically changes the T/S parameters of the driver, so if you're using a box program you'll want to remember that.

Some companies suggest only running 1 coil on some subs if you're using a sealed box.

I know DLS does this with their Iridium series subs.
