DVC's Parallel & Subs in Series vs DVC's Series and Subs in Parallel.. Difference?

Is there any difference between 2ohm DVC's wired in parallel then wired in series to the amp vs 2ohm DVC's wired in series then wired in parallel to the amp? It's a lot easier for me to switch my setup from 1Ohm Stereo to 2Ohm Mono with the first method.. (not having to remove the drivers from enclosure and rewire, etc)

Any opinions?

im pretty sure it doesnt matter.

Well it kind of does, cause if you blow a sub and its series-ed with another the other will blow also (assuming its because of power), personally I'd parallel the subs and series the coils, since a sub with 2 blown coils is just as useless as a sub with one.

Hooking up wires to each voice coil and running the wires outside the box,, you can either series or parallel them easily and has been done a lot.

Just use the largest guage possible

I like that idea...

Try both ways and let us know the difference?

The preferred method is to series the coils and parallel the separate drivers.

There are arguments for either though.
