DVD-Audio Compatibility

I have an Alpine F#1 Status system in my vehicle and finding a good selection of source material is getting more and more difficult. I came across a fellow on eBay that imports Japanese produced DVD-Audio titles. Most of the titles are are of Jazz artists of yesteryear (Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Coltrane, etc. Just what I'm looking for. Anyway, is DVD-Audio format universal or is it like DVD-Video with region codes?

I can't seem to find region codes on any of the covers or descriptions. I asked the seller and he has no clue. Remember, these are not regular DVD's.

Thanks in advance.......

I am not aware of any regional difference with DVD-A products... buy one and check it out before you go whole hog

Thanks for the quick reply, John. I did more research and found you are correct. There are no region codes when it comes to DVD-Audio. I'm going to order a whole whack of DVD-Audio discs. I've always liked the way Japanese CD's are produced/engineered. Maybe the DVD-Audio recordings will be of good quality also.
