k i boughtthis deck off my friend for some speakers. cosmeticaly it looks great. the only problem is it won't read cd's. i have put my whole cd libray in it and it does not like any of them. where should i take it to get repaired? this is a modle below my 545, but this one has a color changing face plate and it folds down.

I assume you have encoded the files as mp3 and the cd player will not play them?

Did you use CDR or CDR/W?
What program did you use to encode the files?
Did you burn it as a Data disc or MP3 disc?
Have you tried a different brand of CDR?

i have tried every thing, it won't even read my cd's that i bought from the store.

You can find an authorized Clarion retailer where you live and get them to service it.

Agreed.

If my friend traded(I think thats what you mean, traded for speakers?) then I would be pissed. Get your speakers back, tell him to get it fixed, then do the trade again.
