Earthquake Amplifiers

Hello

I am looking into the Eathquake line of amplifiers, but I have not heard too much/anything about them.

I searched a bit on this forum and found mixed reults. I am most interested in the Xtreme Bass line up - http://www.earthquakesound.com/xtreme.htm - particularily the 5 channel 900w.5.

Anybody have experience with these amps? Good/Bad are thier RMS ratings reliable?

Thanks!

hmm not alot of responses...
But anyway to further add to this question will this amp be enough to power my soon-to-be set up.

My sub is a 12" Infinity Perfect rated at 350rms at 4 ohm.

I plan on running 6x9 Alpine Type R's in the back and,
6.5 Alpine Type X's in the front.

The amp should be fine for the speakers, but will 400rms at 4 ohm be enough for my sub?
For those who don't wanna open the link here are the specs for the amp

Number of channels: 5
Max Power Output: 1800 Watts
RMS Power 4-Ohm Bridged: 3 x 400
RMS Power 2-Ohm Stereo: 4 x 240 + 1 x 500
RMS Power 4-ohm stereo: 4 x 130 + 1 x 400
Damping Factor: >800
Cross over slopes: 24dB/OCT
THD: >0.016
SNR: 104dB
Class: A/B
Speaker Connection: 12-Gauge
Power Connection: 8-Gauge
Input Type: Low Level RCA

But then again if these things are unreliable and/or junk im not getting it. I just prefer a 5 channel on account of I'm doing the install and I'm too lazy to hook up two different amps.

Also too cheap to afford audison - which my friend has and wow is all i can say.

Thank you!

Earthquake is hit or miss...some of their amps are really good, some of them are not reliable at all. I would personally not get a 5 channel amp...down the road you will want to upgrade your sub amp, probobly won't want to upgrade your highs amp though...so its better to get a 4 channel for the speakers and a monoblock for the subs imo

I love the eathquake amps...the loudest guy in canada uses EQ amps. I took 2nd at DB Drag World with Earthquake! The amps are awesome, the amps from 6 years ago are unrealible...you do have to careful when strapping the 10,000 watt puppies. I used that 5 channel...tons of *****!

pm me, any questions...

no biggie...i was referring to yuli and he ran EQ amp all the way to finals then used DD...he is a multi-record holder etc...in street.

I have held 3 canadian record with EQ...

in regards to 2nd...it is too confusing to every to understanding how regionals work etc...if you look at nation raning xovers i got 4th or 5th for North America...

I was simply answering the guys question, but I was referring to street classes which most pretains to this guys question.

lol tons of people use EQ...I used EQ for a very long time. They are cheap but there are better amps out there. Yuli had DD amps all season if he was using earthquake it was likely just because he was too lazy to hook up the DDs and knew it didn't matter because he would smoke everyone anyway
