Hey guys, I have a quick question... I have a amp that puts out 175watts x 2 @ 4 ohms or 530watts x 1 bridged at 4 ohms but I only have 1 sub and it requires 175 watts of power... So to only get the 175 watts x 1 do I just hook the sub up to the Left or Right output only and if I do will that give me 175watts or does it automatically bridge it because you are only using 1 sub woofer??? well what i would say to do is to actually bridge the amplifier into 4 ohms and just keep the gain back on it. The reason for that is, the amplifier will not have to work as hard to push the woofer and you will be getting alot cleaner power with gain down and at 4 ohms. That is what I would do.....

That sub will handle 250RMS with music quite well and can take even more for short periods of time....

Keeping the gains turned down will ensure you arn't exceeding 300 or so watts... for a quick guestimation take a DMM and make sure the amp isn't hitting any more then 34 or so volts and you'll be giving her less then 300 dynamic watts...

Yes... you would be using one 2ohm stable channel at 4ohms....
