Eclipse 12" SW8200 vs. 12W6v2- repeat
The new driver is nice, but its no where near what the old one was simply due to TC sounds involvement in the old driver. Eclipse still makes fantastic stuff, but the sw8200 was seriously in a league of its own. Looks like you can get one http://www.shopaudiovideo.com/eclsw8200.html (sorry cant post links yet) Call their number, they have a couple...
If you can do a 3 foot box, you will be in subsonic bliss. Most music tracks will never begin to test the extension of the setup, but response will be ruler flat, distortion free and with the anechoic gain- LOUD.

That amp will do really well, could you use more power? Sure.... but you'll be just fine with that amp. The driver will only get really hungry at sub 20hz and at EXTREME spl levels. The JL amps are really solid amps. 400 watts is kind of the thresh hold for needing to look for more power..
Ok, well let me know if something comes up... I am waiting for some people to respond myself ... but If I wont be able to hunt one down- do You guys think a 10" version of it (SW8000) will do fine with 60Hz and below?
I can't recommend the newer driver, unfortunately. I'm sure its a great driver but not having measured it or seen the results of measurement, I cannot suggest it. If you can't find the 8200, the jl is a great option as well as the audiopulse and kappa perfect vq (best bang for buck driver, period).
The 10" version would be very well suited for your application. in a 3ft box it will easily reach 20hz and SPL will be similar to the 12. Extension and powerhandling would be the biggest variances from the 10-12.
