I did a complete energy system in a 2001 Sebring last week.

6.5'' components up front
6x9's in the rear
1-12'' in a ported box
Exile 300.2 for the sub
Exile 600.4 running the speakers

This thing sounded amazing very tight bass and the mid range was great highs were a tad bright so we adjusted the Xover down and bam nice and flat. Vocals were right on male and female these speakers rival ones costing twice the $$$ for quality and sound.

only fault is these speakers are big and modifications normally have to be done to get them to fit.

Energy's

The Energy's are big in size they remind me of MB Quarts they are a true 6 1/2" not 6 " like most. The 6" X 9" are really big and needs some cutting to make them fit,but well worth the cutting I tell ya.As far as sounding a tad bright I would say that depends of the location of the tweeters and the setting on the crossovers.
Remember when mounting a tweeter up high in the door or close to the window you will get reflection off the window so your going to go -3db on the tweeters anyways. They sound awesome mounted in the kickpanel and done the way real sound Q should be they sound great.I take a small 2 channel say 40 x 2 or 50 x 2 bridge it and run it mono. One mono set up on each kick panel, this way both amps are in mono and are seperate from each other no chance for cross talk between the two channels or should I say between the 2 kick pannels.Oh and did I say you will have lots of power I'm talking like 150 to 200 watts on each lots of headroom.I know now I sound like Tim Allen lol.

so made a quick stop in one of the futureshops in calgary and had a quick listen to em. Well I heard the 5 1/4" comp set running off deck power. Not exactly the best audition but at least it was something, their main board with the 6.5" comps was hooped.

Anyways, from what I got to hear was they sounded nice, tweeter was nice and clean, sound was great. the midbass had abit of umph, but for the minute i heard them they sounded great and of course the listening environment wasn't the greatest. Think i'm gonna try and get a set on a deal or something, gotta find the hook ups for them

I already know their exclusive to Future shop, but you if know ppl you can get them at a staff pricing which i'm lucky to have so i will be getting them soon. Also the car audio line is not by the same company, if you ask them they will tell you it's some other company making them.

From SSounds, post #6:
Futureshop RULES!!

I emailed Energy regarding thiele/small parameters.
The response I received:

I have no information that Energy manufacturers car audio speakers.

As well read post #3, Dukk, just mentioned from 2nd hand info is that it's not the original company.

Energy home and car are the same company 100% our rep from energy home is now our car rep too. We went to a vendor training with them a month ago and they unveiled the energy home and car line for us by the same company.

we also have an online training site that also explains the home and car line are the same energy company altough the designers are different but if you look at the home speaker and car side by side they look basically the same except for the color.

oh oh and they come in very simular boxes with the same logo and company address on them go figure eh

if there is any more confusiuon on if they are the same company I can take pic's of the boxes and addresses if you guys want.
