we also have an online training site that also explains the home and car line are the same energy company altough the designers are different but if you look at the home speaker and car side by side they look basically the same except for the color.
oh oh and they come in very simular boxes with the same logo and company address on them go figure eh
if there is any more confusiuon on if they are the same company I can take pic's of the boxes and addresses if you guys want.

But since they are, why doesn't the company want to the word, like when SSounds emailed them saying they don't know anything.

Hey guys - just wanted to chime in here. Like I said - I had heard they were different companies but that very well may have been incorrect - and it appears to be.
Also, don't be surprised that the dude in charge of Klipsch home theatre knew nothing of Energy car audio. I get the exact same thing from my equipment suppliers - people in large multi-faceted companies know about their own little product and that's it. Sometimes you find someone willing to dig around for the good of the company as a whole but not usually.
I may just have to give these speakers a decent listen. I haven't paid them that much attention largely due to their 'interesting' cosmetics...

I agree with you guys there that the grill isn't the nicest but it is removable from what I saw.
Well as it is, i'm gonna look into this as well about the makers, it seems I may be wrong but would like to find out more. I have read a couple reviews on some of their new home audio stuff that one guy just didn't like. I guess the older EXL line was a really good compared to the new CC i think.

I would have strongly considered these, but the mounting depth is stated to be 3.25 in, and there's no way they will fit my car doors.
EDIT: Check that. That's the 6.5" version. The 5.25" version is a more usable 2 1/4". Hmmm: would anybody go for the 5.25" Energy over a lower profile 6.5" in another (comparably priced) brand? Sorry if the question is a bit O/T...
