Engine noise. Need some help.

So I just installed my amp that I built, and I'm getting some noise. I had the amp installed at an audio place, so it should be all good (ie, power on the driver side, 4 chan RCA on the passenger. paint was removed for grounding)

The engine noise gets a higher pitch (not louder) when I rev my engine (its not very loud, but you can definitely hear it when the music is off)

Before it was installed, I had no noise. This was when my 6x9's where running off the alpines(HU) internal amp along with my 6' fronts speakers. So I'm thinking i'm getting noise on the power to my amp.

My question is, Would picking up a ground loop isolator solve my problem? I'll be getting it from ebay to save some money.

I was thinking of getting 2 2channel RCA filters, but I'm worried that might add to my problem. (also getting off of ebay)

Can I post ebay links here? I'll post what i'm going to buy if I can.

Thanks for all the help!

General info about my setup.
Wire: 8 gauge 60amp fuse power/ground.
Ground is 3 feet or so away (probably less)
6x9 pioneer rear, 6' phoenix gold front.

Amp: The amp I built was from the company Tripath. They make class T amplifiers, which is a digital amplifier for all frequency ranges. (more if you want to know)
Its 400w RMS but I still have to build a 15 amp voltage regulator for it, so its running around 250w RMS (it likes 26 volts)
Its 4 channels 100w rms each.
(i'll get pictures one day. I had some but I lost them what I formatted the wrong drive on my PC *cries*)

you aren't by any chance running a pioneer deck are you?

oops, read your profile. i see you're running alpine. nevermind. was going to suggest grounding your rca's. you could still try it though and see if it helps.

especially greg_canada. pioneers are notorious for that. try grounding your rca's that will likely fix your problem.

I don't want to ground my RCA as I know my amp wouldn't like that. If I get desperate I'll try it.

What are the chances that the noise is coming in on the power? If it was, would a ground loop isolator help?

Also, how are the RCA noise filters? Pros/Cons?

Why wouldnt your amp Like It? you dont have to ground RCAs to the amp, And as for the chances of it coming from The power - is it a factory alt? some cars produce a crazy amount of alt whine.

Well, I built this amp. And in the data sheet for the class T chip it said not connect the RCA ground to Power ground anywhere other then at the chip its self. I don't think it would hurt any thing. But it said not too. (it didn't go into detail)

Yes it is stock. Actually, I just got it replaced about 8 months ago. But this was before I had anything other then the deck in the car. (factory speakers)

So are you then suggesting that the Ground filter would be a good idea?

You really think its my deck? I had the deck and speakers in the car before my amp, and there wasn't any noise. This makes me believe the ground is fine on the deck. As when the amp went it, the deck wasn't changed.

So no one thinks that the noise is coming in on the power wire to my amp? No one is say that it isn't..

I'll check my grounds once I get back to my old town. Say the ground are fine, what would you do next?

Thanks for all the help.
