Error message with Eclipse 55040 HU?

So my alternator died the other day and when I installed the new one the deck started acting funny.

The screen constantly says 'C7800604' and the deck wont power off or play any cd's.

Any Help?

When the deck was installed was a "CD KEY" encoded??

If so put that CD into the deck and it will start working again.
if you do not have the cd anymore then the unit needs to be sent to eclipse in order for it to work again.

Deck was in the car when I bought it and I have no cd for it. Damn.

Not worth my time to send it back to Eclipse since it's an old deck.

Ah well, thanks! lol.

If it came with the car.. then its time for a new one!
Eclipse wont help you unless you have proof of purchase!

Wrong info. Your cd player is locked, by the sounds of it there is nothing wrong with it. The numbers you have listed are infact the serial number of the unit. What you need to do is simple, go into a authorized dealer and fill out a ESN change of ownership form, submit this by fax to Eclipse to update you as the owner of the unit. Then they will be able to get a code out of the unit that is the lockout code. This code is then washed through their computer system and a unlock code given. This new code can be entered into the unit, in your dash right now, to unlock the cd player and put it back to stock settings once again. After this is done, it will work as it did before.

Correct, most likely. I think service is around $25.

S&S Electronics is one of the authorized vendors here on the site. They also happen to be the only Eclipse warranty depot in Canada and can provide this service to you. Contact Chris and ask him for some help.

Chris will surely be your best bet. He helped my friend in the past with similar issues. He is in Scarborough.

Awesome!

Thanks for the help!
