just wondering what factories do to make amps put out more power? is it exspensive? is it even worth the money? will the factory only mod specific amps?

They usually remove the low impedance protection or high voltage protection.

Most manufacturers won't mod their amps from the factory, and the ones that do usually void the warranty.

Is it worth the money is a question that can only really be answered for an individual amp relative to your application.
