A Class "D" that does 500-700WRMS at 2ohms mono.....there are numerous models available from all the decent quality manufacturers.

I had one 12.2. I initially had it in a sealed box and it was not good. bass was distorted, muddy and severely lacking. I made a quickie ported and it improved the sound and output quite a bit. I think if I would have had a box built properly for the sub it would have been a good performer. See how the box sounds that it's coming in however you may not get the response you're after if the box is generic. On a side note, I found it a little odd that when I tried to input the 12.2 in to the bassworx box recommender that it was not able to find a bassworx box built to it's specs.
