Favorite HU/Processer

I want to step up to a active system and other than Alpine I'm not sure on what else is out there. I have a lower end Eclipse deck with no Xover and was thinking of changing up. The only set-up Ive seen is the Alpine DVA9860/PXA-H701 and it looked like a slick combo but wondered what else is out there that will work for me? I have not found any other HU/processer units that will do a 4 way system. What type of units do you favor for active systems? Are there HU that do 4 ways without a seperate processer
Thanx

As far as other HU/prc combo's there's the Pioneer P9 set, the clarion 9255, and it's processor, as well as the heavily debated F#1 combo.....

All great packages with their pro's and cons; some with less cons than others though

Would you do it again or try one of the others?
Any downfalls or things your not happy with?

Holly crap I just seen the price of the F-1 and its way out of my price range!

Exclamation

Besides the Pioneer Premier DEX-P9/DEQ-P9 combo, if you can still find one, the Pioneer Premier DEX-P1 & DEX-P1R could do a four-way setup WITHOUT A SEPARATE PROCESSOR!
If you can find someone who really doesn't realize the potential of these units (the last DEX-P1 I saw was selling for $299) you might be able to get a steal of a deal!
Good luck!

I second the above. Also Pioneer ODR. And I think the Sony C90 with the XDP 4000 (?!?). Personally, I've always liked the pioneer stuff. Doesn't Audio Control now have a 4-way.

BTW, when you say four way, are you only talking about needs for a x-over or do you want the tuning as well? I think there's still some 4-way x-overs out there that you can mate up with 31 band EQs etc, etc. Put bits and pieces together
