Question

OK, so i'm no expert and i always seem to end up with a tiny bit of whistling, that if you listen for it, you can hear it at a stop. Then the stereo stopped working, found the culpret to be my ground.

I moved my ground wires to the next screw over where they seem to happily pass thru 14v or so. But now i have some kinda loud feedback coming thru the speakers.

What exactly causes this? My ground hasn't changed much apart from being another screw over, cleaned down to the metal, both amps grounded to the same spot. What else can i do to minimize this???

ok i understand the ground....but what about the ground? Like how would you screw it up to cause this?

I never had the issue before i moved the ground wire, but now i do, i thought the second ground was pretty good, happily passing thru 14v or what not.

Sometimes having a power wire too close to an ignition source under the hood can cause the "wine" also.

i hate ground whistling in my ears, one time i drove all the way down to Seattle for a show and got so pissed i took my deck apart driving, pretty good eh !!!

To solve this problem : make sure your grounding is nice and clean, also tight , clean as in bare metal no paints

if that doesnt work go to canadian tire and get a ground loop isolator
