Arrow Finally Done!

As some of may know, I was lucky enough to win the recent CCA giveaway which included the Viper alarm system donated by Selective Sound - Be Selective about your Sound

I talked with DAVIS there, and ADMINCCA to inquire about install and an upgrade to a 2 way system. Neither of them had any problem with it and DAVIS explained the advantages of the 2 way. DAVIS quoted me a (VERY FAIR) member discount rate for the install and I finally drove down today and had it done. They even took me in 10 minutes early.

Wow, nice guys and super clean install. They even cleaned the floor mats before putting them back in. The hardest thing I had to do was adjust my rear view mirror 1/4"

Funny thing too, everything just works. No drama, no screw ups the first time I used it, all the factory stuff that worked before, still works (dome, delay, key, etc) no "ha-ha look at that idiot" alarm going off in the gas station lot.

The items that had to be visible like window antenna and blue light, well, they asked me where I wanted them to go. They disassembled the top of the steering column and brought it into the waiting room (which has WiFI & Plasma) and had me point out where to put it.

My audio equipment was never touched, even once.

Its a bit of a drive for me, but I'm going back. The alarm has 6 channels i think (only read manual once so far) so i can add starter and other neat stuff.

They sell some nice audio equipment as well as a boatload of small stuff like rca's, ANL fuses, install kits, all that little stuff you forget to buy. I'll never order that on line again. Davis's selection is worth the drive.

Anyway, I know a lot of people only post about bad experiences, but I think its only fair to post about the good ones too.

NOTE: I totally forgot to mention that ADMINCCA personally met up with me previously and handed over the oil. So if any new posters are wondering "do the prizes ever get handed out"? The answer is a resounding yes.

So, the gift cards have been used, the subs are in my sons car with a semi-finished sytem, alarm is installed / upgraded, now I'll just wait for oil change time!

So wow, what a turn of good luck after some crappy times around the holidays.

Thank You again guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John

I've had some first hand dealing with Davis and can't say enough good things.

He spent the time to answer all my questions and didn't try to rush me out the door...and I didn't buy anything (yet).

Anyone looking for customer service and people that know what they're really doing has to check them out.

Where are these guys situated? Perhaps I'll talk to them about the installation on my fiancee's 08 Accent.
DLS Ultimate A5 3-channel amp (from Zotman), MB Quart Premium 6.5" components (from MR2NR, though these are still on lay-away), sound dampening on the doors, and most of the necessary wiring (from Knukonceptz). The Kenwood deck has already been installed.

Glad to hear you had good experience. This is what places need to achieve in order to get more/return business.

Funny you should mention that. Some random dude with a screeching alt dropped in while I was waiting, to ask about some broken fob. I overheard Davis tell him he didnt carry that brand or whatever, but he took it in the back anyway and spent 1/2 hour getting it working for the guy. Went out in the cold and tested it too. I did not see any money change hands for that.

Pictures: I didnt think it was appropiate to be shoving my nose in during the install and I deliberatly never asked to, but if you mean after install pics, I'll put some up this afternoon, sorry.

Alarm: The alarm is called a Python I think. Dont know the model offhand but it has one of those neat LCD fobs with a mini antenna. I'm still playing with it Its cool, you can arm & disarm indivudual sectors, have the fob scream or vibrate or both, like i say, I'm still learning it.

I think Davis can hook up a glass break sensor, remote start, proximity sensor, and not sure what else. I have to talk to Davis later. I was too busy trying to listen to him explain it to ask what else it was capable of.

Dont mention the coffee and donuts man. I know darnwell you gave me a super deal because of the contest win and CCA connection. That was a once in a lifetime thing and I appreciate it.

EDIT: Srry there Tragic..they are 2 minutes off the 401 & Mississauga & Derry road.

Would I receive the same level of attention even though none of the gear I've purchased has been through them? That's my biggest concern right now, with any installer.
