Nice choice in subs man... CVR's would definitely be near the top of my list for daily drivers.

Mounted mine free air. There is an old forum on here about free air subs and the CVR's were recommended, even though Kicker doesn't recommend it.

NO!!! I finally got most of the pieces cut but I ran out of wood. I went up to Menards to get some more and they are sold out!!!!!! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!!!!!! I wanted this box built by sunday night now I don't know when I will ever finish it! We have one lumber yard in my town but they don't sell 3/4 mdf. Menards is the only other place I know of that sells this stuff. I'd love any ideas for places to get wood.

Not yet, and I took your advise on putting them in a sealed enclosure. Go ahead and make fun of me about how many times I have changed the box plan I am going to use, lol, I do that a lot. But I want to get these subs in and maby when I have more time (for example this summer when I am not being overwhelmed with finals) I will make the ported box and see which one I like more. I was looking at bcae1.com and it recommended a sealed enclosure for these subs also so I figured if two reliable sources agree on the same thing that I should probly agree too.

Lspade, Did yover get those Kickers installed?
I forgot to tell you last week, i finally got mine running last week (after a minor interface problem). Doh!
They sound amazing!! And loud!! I've got them mounted free-air, so it doesn't take much to make it crank.
I've got Pioneer 4-ways so the rear sounds great, but i've still got the facory speakers in the doors. And i've got waaay to much power on them. love the smell of burning tweeter
I'd odered MA Audio components, but they were on back order, so now i've got MB Quart coming. but on the slow boat.
I'll finish this someday. Probably just before the car is scrap.

How loud? Loud as in you can feel the bass in your lungs when you breath? Cuz that is what I am goin for. I actually just picked up my second sheet of wood today (saturday). Ya, it was torture waiting for menards to get in a new supply of 3/4 mdf. But wow did I get alot done in one day. I am gonna start a new thread after I transfer all the pictures to my comp. Not only pictures of my box but while I waited for the wood I used my leftover mdf (sizes that were to small to use on my sub box) and I am making a center counsil with speaker mounts for my blazer. (I test fitted it today and it fits perfect!) I will also have pictures of that progress soon. All I have to do yet is fiber glass it. I have seen my dad use fiberglass before and it doesn't look too hard but I would deffinetly benifit from any suggestions or tips on working with fiberglass for the first time. So ya, everyone can look forward to those pictures but of course they prolly won't be on till tuesday considering the fact that I really really REALLY want to get my box done.
