I got my 2nd amp and my sub hooked up tonight. Its a 12" JLW3 D2.V2 anyways its powered by a Crossfire BMF125.2 which is 170rms x 2 @2ohm. I have it bridged running to each voice-coil and my gain full. I finally found out how to adjust the sub level on my amp so now the subs sounding louder then before which makes me happy.

BUT the when I turn up the sub (easier to hear with the sub level further down) I hear voices/treble/music comming from the sub and its pretty darn noticable. This isnt normal is it? what do I have to adjust to fix it?

I have a Alpine CDA7995. Anyways any tips on what I can adjust to make my system sound better.

I have focals 165k2 component set running off my concept cc504a.

Like should I fade most of the bass to the rear so its just directed to the sub, is there a way I can adjust my concept amp off the deck? (the treble/bass on the focals) to make them get less bass and sound cleaner, or direct the bass more to my sub alone? Tips like that...

Also my system has a decent buzzing going thru the tweeters is this normal when there running off a amp?

Thanks in advance all!

First turn up the sub level to max and then set your gain on the amp. The gain at "full" is way too high.

Try playing with the low pass xover, usually I'd set it to about 80hz and go down until it blends with the rest of the speakers (50hz to 80hz).

As for the buzzing in your tweets, my guess would be the gain is set too high on your Concept amp. Other possible causes may be noise entering your power wire/RCA's, bad ground, etc.

I wonder if you need to check RCA hook up in back of deck. ie: not plugged in to sub woofer only port. Or check cross over settings on amp and reset to low pass only. My $0.02.
