hey guys i have a 88 chevy single cab that i recently add some nice bass too (2 12" kenwoods with a 900w rms kenwood amp). i have 1/0g power wire to a a distro and have been anxiously wanting to do my front stage or just adding some good sound in general seeing as it a single cab. i currently have some pioneer 4x8 coxial's running off the deck witch by my suprise actually can put out the sound to a certain extent without those subs drowning them even at low volume , but after the volume hits a bout a 1/4 i cant enjoy my music any more. I KNOW most people will say well y do u have such powerful subs in such a small cab... well.... i got bass fever i guess u could say. so i have looked at trying to fit 6 1/2 components in the kicks and kinda want to go that route but have no clue where to begin. Anyone have any ideas or other suggestions, am open to everything

thanks

Kickpanels are a good idea. If you can't fab them yourself there is a premade option for your truck: Q-Logic Kickpanels

Putting some power to those Pioneers can wake them up too.

Maybe?

lol, j/k

The biggest problem for a 4x6 is trying to make any sound down low. If you can get rid of the bass requirement they will handle more power and sound clean doing it. Run them with 30-50rms with a 100hz high pass and they will rock.

Adding a 6.5 midbass would be the icing on the cake. Find yourself a decent installer and they can fit those in your doors.

highest power you'll get out of most new decks these days is about 17-22w RMS x4

Most new decks have crossovers built into them and almost all amplifiers do. If you intend to run them off of the deck and it does not have filters built in, find a pair of 100uf or 200uf capacitors and install one on each speakers positive speaker wire.

they are currently running off the deck. do you know any specific store i could pick a pair of these up at? also if i were to it wouldn,t be too expensive to amplify these little guys seeing as i wouldn,t need a huge amp or anything just a small 2 channel?
