Well... My first taste of subwoofer bass in a car.. just got my 10 inch installed half an hour ago.. wow. What a difference that bass can make..

wat type of sub? amp? box?

congradulations man, i hope you enjoy it.

my first system was 2 alpine type s 10" svc subs being powered by a sony xm2200gtx pushing 200rms@4ohm to each sub.

i had to for abotu 2 wks and i decided it was not enough bass for me. so i got a earthquake 700bx now which is good for 705rms and it will push a kicker S15L7 which i am waiting on and i am going to build a custom box with the help of great people on this forum.

It's a Cadence Ultradrive single 10 inch in a custom ported enlosure installed into the back wall of my trunk with the woofer facing outward.. (best sounding position i experimented with). Anyways It's being run off a 150w rms concept amp. I'm actually quite overwhelmed with the amount of bass I can pull out of that thing. And there's absolutely no rattles in the car when the bass is poundin! that was one of my biggest worries.

man my subs never put out enough bass to make me happy. all they did was rattle my back seat. and drain my battery. so i them out and now i have no system. so im just using my stock setup for now. dam thives had to take every ting butt the subs, the one ting im trying to get rid of the most.

I had 6 fifteen image dinamics in a 91 firefly.
The bass was getting good untill my roof came in and windows slid out then I lost all bass.
So the moral of my story is THERE IS NEVER TOO MUCH BASS !
Thanks for reading..

That's because they put a really ****ty alternator on that car. I went through 4 under warranty in my Z34 (two in one week) before I bought a Bosch on my own dime and ended the problem. Incidentally...all I had was the stock radio at the time too..

GM = suck.
