first work.

as the title states here is what i have done since i started in this industry. this is my first attemt at an spl car built by myself and darin belanger. he hired me to work with him at visions in red deer back in 89-90 while i was going to college. car is a 78 camaro. car had 2 pyle 12 in ported box, 4 pyle 8s, back seat still went in and we built a panel to go over the old one so it looked completly stock. notice the pyle tweeters on rear wheel build outs!! nice. in front i had pyle horns, pyle 5 inch sealed baskets in front and pyle 6.5 in back of door with pyle tweets high in middle of door. car absolutly hammered for 1990. amps were omnivox black magic, orion 240gx and alpine something or other. oh ya i bought the car all rusted out and green with no fin on back... at my dads shop in sask we cut out all rust, raised it, sanded and got em hattum to paint it for me, then i redid the whole interior, carpet, doors, dash, roof everthing.

first installs

here is another of my first work its a 1986 lynx xr3. this one was my first car over 145 back in 1991. car had sony c.d. player, pyle 3/4 inch hard domes in roof clock, 3.5 inch pyle coaxials in centre vents above deck, each door had 6.5 inch and 2-5 inch sealed back, and a 3 inch soft dome tweeter, under each seat was a pyle pounder 8 inch, in the back were 4 pyle 15 inch pounders, 3 pyle pounder 12s, 4 pyle pounder 8s and 2 pyle 3.5 inch horns. also was a altec lansing alc. 20 and a viper 300 alarm with prox senser. i ran 0/4 welding cable in car and used industrial connectors from a local commercal electric store. batteries were 4 deep cycles and we got a 400 pound lift kit put on car to keep it off the back tires.

Awesome pics Randy Loooooooove old skool install pics. I know Pyle wasn't a very expensive brand back in the day, but those Orions sure weren't cheap. Don't you wish you held on to those??? I gotta ask though, with min. wages being what they were back then and interest rates high, how did you afford that stuff? Avco Finance? lol I'm really surprised we didn't see each other at the shows back in the Prairies around those times because Paul and I hit as many as we reasonably could.

I'm looking at the front and back of that Lynx, with all those subs and wondering: how did that all fit in there??? There's only so much room between the front of the hatch and the front seat!
