Fixing a Rockford Fosgate T2

can anyone here do it or know anyone who can?

backstory goes that my friend had it and one day it died on him, so he had a friend of his take it to a guy i think to get it reconed, and then he got it back yesterday and it died last night. we looked at what we could and it seemed like one of the leads on the terminal melted the jacket, but i'm no pro so i have no idea how it happened or how to fix it. one person said get it reconed, another one said get the voice coils rewound, i said let me get rid of and blow it to pieces or throw it off my roof (did that once to an old infinity sub). if anyone here knows a way to fix it i'd appreciate the info

If I saw the the sub and it was repairable I'd fix it. but based on the info provided. Really can't tell ya much. If the tinsel leads cracked going into the vpice coil..it's done for. if the tinsel cracked near the terminal it's an easy fix. if the sub is shorting on the pole piece, the recone wasn;t done properly and the cone assembly was out of alignment

Get a recone and bring it to me
