flashing stinger capacitor
i bought a stinger 1 farad digital capacitor used with no box or manual or anything and for some reason the led keeps flashing non stop anybody know why?
|
if it's a "digital" cap it should have a voltage sidplay on it. is the voltage display lighting up?. Is the cap wired to power and ground?.
|
ya it is digital and it is reading the correct voltages. I have wired up lots of caps and lots of systems. This is just something i've never came upon.
|
google?
|
that was my first try...

bump still need help

This is where yuli is coming from 'prove to me it is has any value, other than a pretty flashing display'
My thoughts on capacitors are "what does does a capacitor do, and what problem does it solve? is it a solution or a band-aid or does it make thing worse? Finally why do you think you need one?" In other words is it science or is it jewelry for your car |
i guesss that makes sense, from my understanding for every 1000w that your amp draws you should have 1 farad in reserve power sitting there. At the moment i'm not planning on adding another battery, but am looking into a bat cap. The capacitor is hooked up, it is flashy and stuff, just wondoring if anyone knew why it was flashing before i take out the led because it piss's me off when i'm driving at night and there's a flashing capacitor a foot from my face due to the sytem being right beside me inbetween the front two seats...
