Focal Sub with Focal Amp? or Rockford amp?
ok... I will be using a Rockford fosgate p450.2 to power my front 165k2p's ..
im thinking about going with a 13" focal sub(400w RMS 4ohm) in a sealed box.. should i get a rockford amp to match? (i want it all to look good as well as sound good)
i was thinking p600.1 325w rms @ 4ohm..
or should i take my rockford p450.2 for my fronts back to the store and go all Focal? or another brand? id like to use one brand of amps.. and am i on the right track using a Focal sub for SQ?

im not sure if i want to go 33v1 or DVC 33v2... or even 33KX .. kx would match my fronts... i really want tight bass... i listen to everything .. hip hop to alot of jazz and even retro 80's.. but im not looking for SPL.. though i do want it loud.. are the focal subs as good as their components? i heard the v1's at a local store and they seemed to outclass the other clarion stuff the dealer had..

Check out the Alpine PDX series, and if money isn't really an issue, check out
Audison or Zapco amps if you want good clean power.
I have heard a setup running Focal and Zapco, professionally installed, and I
must say, the SQ was incredible.

To some people yes (totally ripped right now but wtf), there are a lot of great amps out there. Someone mentioned the pdx alpine amps, they use the same amp topology that Eclipse pioneered 4 years ago now. Pioneer Premiere and Alpine PDX are now in their first year with this amp topology and there will be no doubt far more manufacturers running the ICEpower class D circuity in 2007. I beleive that amps do make a difference. With the system you have or are considering, do more research on it before you lay down the bread. And yes for me it is 7:00 am and I got off work at 3:00 am so drink up bisnatches.

no.. i was considering taking this p450.2 amp back.. (nothing is installed yet) its new in box.. i got it for $299.. im just not sure if i want to save some money and go rockford or spend big bucks on focal amps... its the SQ really gonna be that different? even the shop that im getting the focal gear from said it wont matter that much..
