Four 10" Image dynmanics and 1700 rms
hey all i am doing a car up and i am using four 10" ID subs they are 400rms.
so that is a total of 1600 rms and the amp that i am using is rated for 1700 rms but i dont think that it is anywhere near there. there is three 30 amp fuses on the side of the amp so 90 amps x 14.4volts is 1296watts and that is if the amp is 100% efficent the amp is a D class so i am thinking round 1000rms at one ohm.
does all this seem right???
and if indeed the amp does 1700 rms at one ohm is that gonna be ok?
by the way the subs are the ID10D2

P = V x I (watts = voltage x current) so yes. D class will be 80%+ efficient and A/B around 50% also keeping in mind that the fusing on the amp will be a little higher than the amplifiers full draw (unless you do something you're not supposed to)
