Frustration with getting Metra parts in Canada
 

I have searched far and wide and cannot find any
METRA 72-5600 Ford Speaker wire adaptors anywhere in Canada. While I was in the business, I contacted Sobel, the Montreal importer of Metra and the did not have it in stock and would not order it special.

So... I will have to get this from the US unless SOME dealer in Canada wants to sell em to me. Surely there is some demand since they fit most recent Fords including the Focus.
I already posted in the wanted section...

It will cost me about $40 bucks shipped to me from the US. Surely this is astronomical for the few dollars that they cost wholesale...and pennies they cost to make!

Now dont ask why I don't splice... I want the adaptors.

i would bet that the reason there not avalible is that nobody buys them or uses them
im sure your local dealer probably has small male spades they would work

You seem to have purchased really good gear...why not build custom mounts? $40 seems reasonable, there's duty, taxes, shipping etc...

I'm an idoit...strip back the wire 2 inches from the connector and solder the connection?

Try Importel in Ontario or try Scosche.

I'll stick my nose into a distributors parts listing and see what comes up.

thanks for looking Rob, unfortunately those are not the right ones. I did as much homework as I could before posting the metra number.
