hey guys i need help.

i just bought an amp. Planet Audio 2250 something or another i forgot.

it is an unregulated amp (i read the page on bcae1 and still dotn know what that means)

i need a new fuse and fuse holder. which type of fuse do i need? how much amp?

i need maximum protection for my amp as it does not have any built in fuses.

The amp manual says "peak current consumption at 1 ohm is 175 amps"

http://planetaudiousa.com/user%20man...L%20MANUAL.pdf

Thank you.

Your best bet is an ANL fuse holder... you can buy em at most good stereo shops but Id call first... some wont have them in stock...

Also, canadian tire sells 150amp ANLs for like $6 and I buy 250amp ANLs from global semiconduction for $3.50 each...

(in otherwords I wouldnt pay $18 for one at futureshop or an overpriced car stereo shop)

Figure the fuse holder will run ya $20-50 depending on where you buy it...

Edit: read the bit on PWM powersupplies on that same site and you may understand the explination of unregulated vs regulated a little better...
