Getting wiring for new setup...
#1
Hey guys, I'm starting to gather peices of my new upcoming system. Actually I'm just finishing my current in a new car. Here it is:
HU: ...
front stage: CDT CL-61
amp: JBL 180.2
EQ: Audiocontrol EQX
subs: BA Inhuman 15
amp: JBL 1200.1
Where I need help is with the wiring. I want to run 0/1 ga the trunk. Then 8 ga to the 180.2 and 4 ga to the 1200.1. 120amp fuse at the batt. 80 amp fuse for the 1200.1 and a 25 for the 180.2. Do the fuses sound ok? Also, where do you guys run 0/1 without it showing too much? What am I looking to pay for the 0/1, thanks guys.

Hey TC
I'm just up the road in Ottawa! Your setup sounds good. I'm presently upgrading my wiring too. As for the fusing, I'm sure that 50A is fine for 8awg and that 150A is good for 0/1 awg (under 15 feet). As for wiring, I found a source through this forum (which I haven't tried yet, so let me know if it's good if you so decide). It's :
www.genuinecanadianaudio.com. Good luck...

1. its 1/0 not 0/1. unless u are talking about 1 gauge then it could be 0/1.
2. u can get 1/0 at your local welding supply store. i pay anywhere from $1/foot for black and $2.40/foot for red.
3. u dont need so many fuses, just get one 150-200 ANL fuse for under the hood.
4. u can run 1/0 anywhere in the car if u do it right, i have 3 runs of 1/0 from the front battery to the trunk and u cant see or tell anything.
