Gneral sound help please!

hello i was in need of some general car audio help! i changed my system maybe like 3times in the past month and i think ive found a system i can keep......for now lol but i need some electrical help. I have a Phoenix gold Ryval V8001 running my 12w7 in a ported box made to JL specs, i also have a phoenix gold Octane R8.0:4 running all my interiors and my lights dim all around. I havnt done the big 3 yet but i was told that to get the most power our of my system and my amp i should upgrade to a high output alternator in my 1999 camry, any suggestions on what i should do? it would be a big help!

Always start with the Big 3 since you absolutely must do it with a HO alternator anyways. Those year camry's had 70amp alts in the 4cyl and 90's in the 6cyl.. They didn't leave a ton of room.

What size power wire are you running? and your ampifier ground. Is it grounded to a good thick section of bare metal. Or grounded to a seat bolt?. A Seat bolt has alot of resistance ince the bolts are coated and the holes are painted etc.

Guys, what are "The big 3" I've seen people here post about? Just curious myself.

i believe i have a 4gauge power wire running into a stinger fused dist. block and 2 8gauge from there to each amp and i believe 2 8gage grounds which run into another stinger dist. block and then goes back into a 4gauge ground which i grounded to the bottom of my trunk....i also have the V6 model... and i plan to do the big 3 asap but shud i use the 4gauge wiring to 0/1?

Umm what's the big 3? :)

im preety new to this but essentially its running thicker wiring like 0/1 or 4 gauge from the engine block to a chassis ground, battery negative to chassis ground and i believe alternator pos to batter pos, its in the link below

Wiring is pretty small, And too many resistors in the power path. (fused distribution block is a resistor).

Do a search on the "big 3" on this forum, you'll find tons of information.

In your application to keep it cost efficient is I would run another 4 guage power line down so each has it's own 4 guage line. Ditch the fused distribution block, upgrade to 4 guage ground for EACh amp. on solid metal that you sanded the paint off. for best connection. This should give you a very noticable reductio in dimming.
