good boom for the buck

Hi everyone, i am curious as to what are some great subs for a decent price, all i seem to find at stores is the usual rockford, pioneer, mtx stuff, and from being on this forum not a lot of guys run the store bought stuff.
I'm in Alberta and never heard of TF1's, Orions, DC'S, which seem to be pretty popular on here. and other ones guys use for SQ
i have some older visoniks they hit hard but seem very sloppy, so i'm thinking of upgrading. i listen to a wide variety of music, from metal to bass mekanik.
i have 3 10's right now, they sound ok but seem to lack low end. debating on going to a 2 12" or getting some good quality 10's.
I have a bass Inferno amp 2000watts, i'm looking for good clean loud sound that won't break the bank
the car is a 1997 Accent, pioneer Deh-5000 deck, pioneer 4" front speakers and MB quart 5.25" rear speakers

what's your budget? How much space do you want to give up? That amp you have, is that 2000watts peak or rms?

I'm pretty flexible on the budget, but i'll say $500 as a start
it's 2000watts peak ( not sure the rms), i was thinking i could get a second amp if needed
and as for space i'm willing to give up my whole trunk lol i think my max dimentions were 36" wide, 14 Tall and 22 deep
thanks for the responses

I would focus on replacing the amp first. Try looking for some second hand L7s.

the SSA Icons have awsome SQ and they drop the low notes really hard
.don't be scared of the Icon 10" either...
a pair of them will produce better dropping low end than most 15"

just an awsome street beater sub

well you have plenty of space for a big box. Your amp is questionable, as I've never heard of it, and 500.00 is a good amount for 1 killer sub or 2 pretty good ones. Depending on your wants, I'd probably spend half on a good 15" sub (since I'd have the space) , and the other half on a decent amp (I'd shop around, and also have a peak at the for sale section), and build the box myself for 60-80.00. Alternately, you could get a very good 12" sub, and a custom made box ported for large output and good sq for about 500.00. You can use your current amp for now and get a better amp down the road. You've got lots of options.

Thumbs up Budget VS bass VS quality

You may wanna check Sasha: http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/online/car-audio-sale/191307-sale-arc-css-critical-mass-dls.html

Has a wicked deal on a pair or Arc 12" in box, or the CSS are nice, and another awesome deal on a Sundown 1200SAE amp!

I am sellign some subs also but you have to know the amp you want to use first. That Sundown is a killer deal, you won;t regret it!

Going from there you have to know if you want just SPL or SQ.

Just my 2 cents, good luck, but take a good look at that amp!
