I have been shopping around town for a good cheap amp for now just to get my subs going. One guy told me that my duel 4 ohm subs could run 2 ohms mono with two of them. at future shop I found a Sony XM-2165GTX, Link Sound domain says it does 400 watts bridged and I figer its good and I want your opinion on the amp

I have known some people that run SONY amps and while there is better out there, for the price they actually aren't too terrible. That amp would give your subs a nice little thump. And it looks like it got pretty good reviews on Sound Domain. Read some of the reviews on there also and see what people that bought it had to say!

Two dual 4 ohm subs can create

1 ohm mono
4 ohms mono
16 ohms mono
2 ohms per channel in stereo
8 ohms per channel in stereo

Perhaps an Avionixx AXA 400.2 or Interfire IB-2900 ? Not sure how good either of them are (heard plenty of good things about Avionixx, though), but they're fairly cheap (~$300 CDN @ GCA) and produce 400+ RMS @ 4 ohms mono

Can I get some stats on the amp and I want proof it work (I know this is a bit much, but if I'm going to buy this I need to know it's a fair deal because I'm just don't want to be screwed over by a person that is half the country away from me, that’s why I was going to buy new)

Well Carsound did a review on the amp and it did it's rated power plus a smidge more. Unfortunately teir website is just getting back up.

Hmmm proff it works? I Could get my friends digital camera take take a video. I do have a video of the subs playing but the amp is not in view. You could ask almost anyone else on this board in alberta as most of them have met me at the DB Drags.

What kind of proof would you like?

Trust me the ppl on this board more so the longer members would not rip anyone off with anything for sale i came on here brand new to the game and ive met one person also bought a sub from another person these people compete and would never screw someone over

I'm sorry man but I'm not looking for a mono amp I'm looking for a 2 channel amp that way I have more options with my subs, but thats is a sweet price.

if you're getting an amp for just your subs, you should go mono, more power for less money that way. also, don't worry about getting screwed, i've dealt with people here and never had one worry
