Cerwin Vega H4104D 10" Subwoofer (x2)
Power Handling: RMS: 250W / 1000 Cerwin Vega H41000.1D AB Power Multi Channel and Digital Mono-Block Design Power Handling: 500Wx1@1Ω RMS Class D/1100W MAX If I got 2 H4104D 10" subwoofers that would be 2000 watt max 1000 watt for each speaker. If I got this amp H4100.1D which is a mono channel amp with 1100 watt max would I get 1100 watts to each subwoofer? |
um.. you are confusing power handling of the speakers with the power output of the amp.. Bottom line you have an amp that will drive 500 watts into 1 ohm. Each of your wofers has 2x4ohms. In parallel they will each be 2 ohms and both in parallel again is 1 ohm... So your amp will put out its full 500 watts into them.. 250 watts each, which is their RMS handling... You should be good.
\ but why not find one better quality 2ohm dual VC sub? the dual VC in parallel will be 1ohm also.. |
Better quality than a Cerwin Vega? There are a lot of better subs than these ones but these are in my price range budget and I hope they turn out to be above average. Cerwin Vega is a quality brand in my opinion but I am far from an expert in the matter...lol.

I am not dissing CV! I have had an 8 inch one in family van for 12 years!
I meant to move up the CV line . Better 1 better sub than 2 low end subs in the CV line up. |
