ok so they attach to the frame, and drag on the road to ground the car?

how is that any better than the 4 big rubber tires you have rolling down the road.

I dont think there made from rubber,maybye some kind os metal weaved stuff Like a ground strap.
We all know electricity dosent travel thru rubber right? lol

don't know whats in them really... but I have never had a problem with getting shocked.. mabey looking into other aspects of your electrical system would yield better results

I don't think that a dc setup should cause you to get shocked. A dc circuit is a closed circuit in that the earth is not part of the set up. I'm not sure why you would be getting shocked by adding more power to your system. Power in your amp should equal power out (minus heat dissipation and other losses). Static shock is cause by an imbalance of electrons and the sudden grounding out of those displaced electrons from what I understand. If you are getting a static problem, I don't think that it is because of your stereo but I might be off in left field...
