Hi guys i have a pioneer DEH-P8250, my friend forgot to pull the harness out of the car when it went to the junkyard, and now im stuck without a harness, and am not willing to pay close to 100 bucks for just a harness.

If someone could pls help me and tell me where each wire goes into the back of this deck or even the color for the wires, or how to fix my problem.

Thanks

Sam

Try some audio shops, call them up and see if they have any old ones. I have done that before, expect to pay $10-20 if they have them, and you will have to take the deck with you so they can try out a few different ones until they find a match. What year/make/model vehicle is it, Metra makes harnesses that plug into a Pioneer, and are already wired up to go into whatever the vehicle is. http://www.electronics-pluz.com/metsmarcab.html

It looks a lot like an ATX power connector, lol. Can't say if it would work though.

Go to the wrecking yard and ask if they can get it for you...

Bump anyone with a deck similar to this with a harness, if you could please take a pic of the harness that would be great.

Thanks

Sam

What year/make/model vehicle is this for? Your local Metra dealer should be able to get you in a Smartcable, which plugs into your Pioneer, and the other side is prewired for your vehicle, plug and play, no connections needed. The model # should be PR2000-**** the last four digits being the one that matches up with your vehicle, a Honda for example is 1720. Hope this helps...

Jeepbeats, i was looking for one that directly goes into the deck, then i would need the harness that connects to my car.

Unless your speaking of one that directly connects to my car? Never heard of it.

Metra PR-2000, one side fits into the deck, the other side is prewired for your vehicle.....

stealth 09-12-2004 07:31 PM

Yup and i need the one that goes into the deck, it is a 16 pin, and it is white.

Haunz 09-12-2004 07:39 PM

I think he's telling you that one of those harnesses will work.... plus it's even better then what you are asking for... (less work to put in)

Otherwise go talk to a pioneer dealer or even just call pioneer directly.... they should help you out....

ya but the ends are for the newer pioneer decks i find it hard finding a older pin connector.

From that fuzzy pic I count 16 pins I think, otherwise metra make the 12 pin ones, PR-12Bxxxx . http://store1.yimg.com/I/electronics-pluz_1807_693147
