Back to the actual question...
$1000 is a significant amount of money but it will also be a significant restraint
Are you wanting good SQ or are you just interested in thump? (BTW regular cab or extended?)
And as asked self install or retailer?
A prefab SPL box with a decent pair of 10's or a good 12"
An entry level or maybe better HU
A coax or inexpensive comp set off HU power
a moderate power amp and bargain RCA and power wire is a must
If you only want SPL it gets easier
*** BTW Powerline Electronics in Guelph bailed my *** out a couple years back by selling be a product out of stock that literally saved me thousands, God bless retailers***

My car is
GMC JIMMY 93GMC Jimmy ,s15
,4 door, 4.3l v6, 4X4
regular cab lots a room wires for subs have already been run through not sure what type should probably be changes. Im thinking specifically between JL audio and Kenwood. I listen to mainly rock, old rock (like Pink floyd, led zep., etc) and some beatles and cypresshill. I want clear clean sound not planning on having a sealed box. Intense bass is not the quality im looking for Im looking for a loud clean system that ( I Am definetly installing myself or friends are) plays really loud and people will actually be able to tell what Im listening to on the outside of the Jimmy not just hearing some random *** (no offense) playing a loud bass. I want to be an *** that people can hear my music and actually have to listen to it and deal! Also used would be perfered but if I can get new for under 1000 great quality thats sick. Also live in milton so perfect tones is an option

What about this setup couldnt find prices on them though
All kenwood:
DPX302- deck
KAC-7203- amp
KFC-XW1212DVC- 6 12inch subs
KFC-X680- 6X8's and a bunch of these i guess
A box that will have speakers in middle and will hold snowboards on out side carpeted or not unsure. Speakers in middle it will be like laying across on a 25o angle upwards holding them

i'm all for helping people out, but why would you want people outside the car to hear it as loud as inside? thats just flat out stupid. things like this are the reason cops harass the rest of us for having a little bass. also, take about $300 of that budget and invest in a good alarm because it wont take long for some to break in and steal your DEEBEEZ
