Head Unit run these speakers?

Would an alpine cda-105 head unit run these speakers:

http://www.amazon.com/Infinity-Reference-4022i-Two-Way-Loudspeaker/dp/tech-data/B000MPH3QM/ref=de_a_smtd/191-6756174-3030115

In the product features it says:

The speakers are designed to be driven with a 2 ohm amplifier or head unit This will give you improved bass response than a conventional 4 ohm speaker system The speakers can also operate at 4 ohms

Can an alpine cda-105 run at 2 ohms?

Thanks

Unless the drivers have 2 sets of terminals and a jumper for bi-amping (I can't find any info/pics) it's odd that they reccomend running them at 2ohms. All that would do is let them see more power but again, I'm puzzled how they achieve that as the speaker IS the load?
Anyway, I've had good luck with Infinitys past and present. If you like their sound they should work well on your CDT-105 at 4 ohms.

they will run fine off the deck, they just have the ability to run at lower impedance as well to allow more power to them safely. Why they decided to make them this way when there just a 4" speaker that runs at 35 watts rms and 105 peak is beyond me.

go to Infinity's site and read what it says about "true 4ohm"..it's basically a 2 ohm coil, but with wire resistance etc...Infinity believes you end up with a 4ohm load at the speaker. here's the link...most of harmon's mass market car audio speakers are like that now...like JBL's.

Ok, so does a alpine cda-105 head unit handle that load fine then?

True Four Ohms— All Reference speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance “seen” by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Reference Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.
So, yes the Cde-105 will be fine.
