Hello, new member.

Hello !

Im Boulard83 from Quebec. I just ordered a brand new sound system for my lil Honda FIT and i found that it might be a good idea to be a member of a big sound system communoty.

I already have my good old KDC-X889 and ill receive my entire new system some soon. Installing myself ...

Infinity Perfect 6.1 6-1/2" component speakers
Infinity Kappa 62.9i 6-1/2" 2-way
JL Audio G-MAX class d monoblock
JL Audio G4500 class a/b 4-channel
JL Audio CLS110RG-W7 10" 1500w 3-ohm

I think that my Honda Fit may have enough sound and quality with this system. Ill add a secondary battery to the trunk ( cell batt, mainly for battery life if a play music with the car stoped. ) and maybe a CAP but is it really needed ?

I already had some big sound system bu ti never added a CAP.

Ill post pics of the thing as soon as my setup is complete. Hope ill enjoy this forum

Have a nice day !

welcome to the board and patiently waiting to see your install pics when they're done. Looks like you'll have a really nice sounding system

Pretty sure most everyone here will tell you that caps are mostly useless.

I personally I think they're garbage.

Thanks for answering guyz.

I alreayd had pretty big sound system bu i never had caps ... Ill stat without a cpas but ill keep my idea of the second batteri for batt life. The FIT have a damn small stock batterie.

Second battery is installed in the trunk, wires all done too. Just missing the sub/amps/speakers .... most important part loll !

I buyed a "spiral cell" batt from local store. wired with 0 from front to back. 150amp fus in front and there gona be 3 more 80amp fus in the back for batt/amp/amp splicing the 0 wire to all 3 trunk parts.

Ill post pics as soon as i receive and install everything.

Things changed a lil bit.

All 4 speakers are installed (Perfect 6.1 and Kappa 62.9i ) but hooked to a Kenwood Excelon XR-4S.

The sound is really nice ( even more than i tough ) and ill Dynamat pretty much all the car as soon as i have time to do it.

The subwoofer will stay a Jl W7 but im not decided between 8W7 and 10W7. The amp gona be a Kenwood Excelon X1200M. The 10W7 seems a better choice for my listening style.

Pics and more soon !

Everything is wired directly to a second CellBatt in the back + 0g from front to back.

Amps only have few feet of wires to the second batterie. Up in front everything is clean and good. Ill upgrade ALT wire if needed when ill add the 10W7. As for now, everything is fine.

Nice setup, cant wait to see the outcome. Will you be running a JL box for the W7 and will it be ported?
