I need an 8 inch SQ focused sub. The only sub I can get locally is a Rockford P2 and that won't cut it. I want a new sub not a used one, it's for my wifes boss, he previously had a Focal. Can anyone help me out here?

the kicker compvr 8", the avi sl200, the best 8 ive ever heard period, but they need space, figure on 1.25 vented

I second the CompVR 8" , Solobaric L5 and (i know I will get flamed) the Sony 8" Pentagon Sub. In a small sealed enclosure it really sounded nice....go figure?!?

The Dragster 8" is decent for an SQ application.

It can't be square, it's in a smallish sealed box, he just wants to replace it with something similar in performance.

Yeah needs to be new. Dual 4 ohm would be fine. I am going to look at the install on friday, to get an idea of what we need.
