help

ok, so i'm a newbie with car audio but i need some help. would this amp be fine with 2 10" sony xplod subs.

Sony XS-L103P5B Specs and Features:

10" subwoofer with 5-sided polypropylene cone
Foamed rubber surround
Frequency response: 18-2,500 Hz
Power handling: 80-330 watts RMS each
Peak power handling: 1200 watts each
Sensitivity: 88 dB

here are the features for the amp:


1200W max power

200W x 2 RMS into 4 ohms

High Level Sensing Power On

500W x 1 RMS into 4 ohms

Variable 50 - 300 Hz low pass filter

40 Hz EQ boost

Line level thru-put

MOSFET output stage & power supply

that amp should be more the fine for those subs. you shouldnt have anything to worry about. good luck.

It should be fine for the 'daily listening' type stuff she'll probably want to do with it...

But is it the best she can get for her money? If sony was the least expensive name-brand equipment on the market, I dont think anyone would complain too much. Since in reality, you can usually get some fairly good Pioneer, Kenwood, JBL, etc. equipment for similar (sometimes less) money, then why bother with sony?
