Ok guys, I have a sub and amp question for you. My brother just bought a JL 12W3v2 dvc 4omh sub...

Now the question is, what would be the BEST amp to match up with this sub??? And does anyone on here have one for sale!??!?!?!?!?! [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

is it the dual 4ohm or dual 2ohm?

she stated its DVC 4ohm.. meaning dual 4..

as for amp, im not really sure.. definately somethin around 300watts RMS @ 2ohms would be fine.

so anything around 300watts? cause i know the sub can handle that. But does anyone have anything 1/2 decent for sale?!??!?!?!

Lots of decent amps out there. I like the JBL GTO301.1 or something of that nature.

make sure you get an amp that puts out the power you want at 2 ohms ......

Jl's power chart for the 12w3v2 seems to indicate 200-400 watts would be good

so 300 watts @ 2ohms as indicated by somebody above would be great

not sure on your budget but an amp like this would work just fine

Ya if your on a budget that would be a perfect amp. But having a JL audio sub and bazooka amp is kind of like having a Viper with Motomaster tires isn't it. The Jl Audio sub is able to go deep and clean but if the amp is soso then you might not benifit from the capablities of the sub. IMO
