Help!
How's it going,
im having some trouble with my new system. I have a Kicker CXA1200.1 pushing 2 kicker comp r 12s the system is in my 2013 Chevy Silverado The first problem I had was the computer throwing a code that it was getting low voltage. Disconnected the amp and subs to see if the problem persisted, and it did. i then replaced the alternator to a 160amp alternator and the battery to an autocraft platinum. Problem was solved and check engine light never came back on. (Ended up being a bad alternator). After riding around for a couple of days just to make sure the problem was fixed (which it was) I hooked the subs back up. Almost instantly I got another code (haven't checked it yet) and now my remote start from my key fob won't work (worked an hour before I hooked them back up). Voltage meter obviously dropped a volt or two when I was blasting the subs but instantly came back once I turned them off (down). Needed to give the back story to see if any of you had suggestions as to why the remote start won't work. Should I get a smaller amp? I'm dumbfounded, all I want to do is listen to my music... thanks in advance! |
