help with fuse holders melting and fuses blowing

Can someone please help me? I'm having a problem with fuse holders and wires melting, Also with fuses blowing. I have a old school orion xtr 2250 the beast amp, with an audio control crossover pushing 2 rockford fosgate p3 12". At first I had a 100amp fuse connected to the battery, but I was blowing the fuses in the amp. So I put a 70amp fuse in, and things were all good for a few months then the other day the fuse blew and melted the fuse holder. So I'm wondering what might be the problem and what can be done to fix it. This is in a 2000 acura tl. Thanks!

Quite the amp! (and quite the instruction manual LOL)
It says something about a 70A circuit breaker in the front, but the specs in the back mention 20-120A current draw... If you're using it at 4 ohm mono (You're NOT using it at 2ohm mono, ARE YOU??) It may simply need a 120A fuse. If you're at 4ohms, the fuse and your electrical are adequate and you still have problems, I'd take it in for a service. I know the manual states 4gua power wire but really? I'd go bigger.
My $.02
