Help! I bought this JL SUB

I went ahead and bought a JL sub and was told that there were no tears in the top of the sub. However there was a tear of 2 - 3 inches. The box was mashed because the guy didnt pad the damn thing.

I dont want to keep the thing, the tear can get bigger with usage right?

Is there any way to keep the thing and have somebody repair it?

Or should I just get a refund and send it back?

This could get somewhat messy if he intentially sent the sub like it was.

how much did you pay for it? was the shipping insured? and yeah it will likely get worse with use... you can always glue the thing together then wait for it to come apart again.

I paid around 280 before shipping. 380 after shipping.

The crack is about 2 inches long. Im a little pissed but at odds at what to do. I mean can this thing be fixed? The crack is in the top of the cone, and I dont want to rip off the guy by just doing a charge back. But there is a part of me that wants too simple because he said that I had to handle it on my end.

I also did some research into his feedback record. He has bought broken things and I guess tried to fix them. Meaning that he could of did the same with this product. Seems kinda sketchy to me.

Why are you even asking? He scammed you. File your paypal claim and stop trying to be friends with a scammer

once you get your money back, my suggestion is get the jbl sub form bestbuy (gto1204BR). the regular price is around 300 but when its on sale its goes down to 200. thats how much i got mine for.
