Help looking for good system

I have an old 1987 truck which i am currently fixing up and im looking for a system to put in there right now... my budget is $280, since there is no room for a big sub in there ill need a slim sub, all i need is a sub and mids and tweeters,
i already have the stereo and back speakers picked out

well you will need an amp for the sub, and possibly an amp for the components as well. A budget of $280 might be tight for all of that. I would start with a good set of low powered components like Infinity reference series ($130 at woofersetc.com) which can run off a decent aftermarket deck.

You can then get a JL audio 10wx-4 ($100 at woofersetc.com) and the JBL GT5-A3011 ($149 at woofersetc.com). You need to figure in the cost of a box built for the sub (custom to fit into the truck?) and the wiring which is about $30.

ok, well then I would use the other items that I listed. Im sure others will give more ideas. You will get decent sound from the Infinity components and JL sub.
