I currently have an old school Fire'n'ice running my pair od W3D6's , works rather well.. Im upgrading it to the Earthquake PHD2 / Kicker 1200.1 or the JL 1000.1..
The W3 providing you have the cross over set right will handle more than the rated 500 watts rms.. Currently I run approx 350w to each one,, and hope to juice it up to 500-700 to each one. And for the RF amps,, apparently this years models are far better then the last 4 years.. RF Amps like the original Punch 40/60/200/500/1000 rocked.. I would buy an older punch/power 1000 before i would buy any of the ones i listed. |
ive been running my w3's off of a 500/1 each and they take it with out any problems so far and its been almost 2 years

I'd say any 300-500 watt mono amp will do
I like the old mtx 6500d's myself |
My wife has the 12W3 v2 in her P5 running off of a JL 250/1 and it sounds great. The sub is in a 1 cu. ft. custom sealed enclosure. The amp is a great little amp.
